Welcome to the Open Fibre Data Standard 0.3.0 release.

We want to hear your feedback on the standard and its documentation. For general feedback, questions and suggestions, you can comment on an existing discussion or start a new one. For bug reports or feedback on specific elements of the data model and documentation, you can comment on the issues in the issue tracker or you can create a new issue.

Note

Throughout the reference documentation, the key words “MUST”, “MUST NOT”, “REQUIRED”, “SHALL”, “SHALL NOT”, “SHOULD”, “SHOULD NOT”, “RECOMMENDED”, “NOT RECOMMENDED”, “MAY”, and “OPTIONAL” are to be interpreted as described in RFC2119.

The schema reference is the canonical reference for the structure of the Open Fibre Data Standard (OFDS) data model, the meaning of each field, and the rules that must be followed to publish OFDS data.

The codelists reference is the canonical reference for the meaning of the codes used to limit and standardise the possible values of fields in OFDS data.

The publication formats reference is the canonical reference for the formats in which OFDS can be published, and the rules for transforming OFDS data from one publication format to another.
